In order to ensure that lifting operations fully comply with LOLER98, the HSC introduced BS7121 the approved code of practice for LOLER98. This provides a set of guidelines, for all types of lifting operation and machine, which if followed, should ensure compliance with the requirements of the legislation.
We are able to offer a Contract Lift option, planned in accordance with BS7121 where we would provide an Appointed Person to undertake the planning of the lifting operation, conducting a site survey and risk assessment and using the supplied information from yourselves regarding the ‘to and from locations, load weight, lifting arrangement and ground conditions, produce a full written Risk Assessment and Method Statement including a crane lift plan for submission and approval.
On the day of lifting operation, we will supply the required crane, personnel, on-site supervision, equipment and insurance necessary. We will carry out the lifting operation to your requirements, following the supplied Risk Assessment and Method Statement, ensuring both your and our compliance with the LOLER98 regulations.
